Youth & Adult Mental Health First Aid Trainings
One in five youth ages 13 to 18 lives with a mental health condition. That means in a class of 25, five students are impacted. That’s why it’s so important for all adults working in schools, youth activities and sports, after-school programs, etc. to take Youth Mental Health First Aid, an 8-hour course that teaches participants how to help adolescents experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. If youth do not get the support they need they take these challenges into adulthood without the proper supports.
Adult Mental Health First Aid is an in depth look into Depression, Anxiety, Substance Use Disorder and Psychosis and how to help support the loved ones in your life and those in your community.
Having a more informed community can dramatically help early intervention efforts and get youth the help they need when they need it.
